Thread: a few questions

    a few questions

    1. if T3 increases mitochondrial protein synthesis and oxidation, etc. how does muscle catabolism happen? it seems that would happen if you are on a cutting diet and dont ingest enough carbs to replenish your glycogen stores? therefore allowing the t3 to use muscle as an energy source as i heard it prefers muscle to fat as energy source. can you clear this up please? statistics and scientific research to back up claims would help.

    2. i am going to be on a clen cycle pyramid dose 1wk on/off and t3 dosed in between as shown here http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=137526.
I am currently not "on" anything else, so i was wondering if it would even be worth taking the t3 in between the clen weeks in low dosages such as 25mcg/day to help with fatburning? and those dosages would be low because i am trying to minimize the catabolic effects. I understand once i am on t3, my natural production would halt until i am off of it, and since the natural production is like 25mcg anyways...would that mean my natural t3 would cut out and i would just be supplementing 25mcg a day equalling no gain in t3?

sorry for all my disorganized thoughts but i just wanted to get it down on a post. Thanks everyone!

Ive also read that 25 mcgs will do nothing but replace your natural production. But during my last 2 contest prep cycles, I added in 25mcgs the last 3 weeks of prep before competition. Within one week, I had to add additional carbs to slow the increased weight loss. Now, my metabolism was already kicking and I was taking clen. But just 25mcgs was effective for me. I was also on an AAS cutting cycle at the time.

Everyone is different. There should be no cookie cutter approach.

heres my take : t3 results in an indiscriminate increase in metabolism...your body will get energy wherever it can ...including muscle tissue. Im not so sure about the preferring muscle to bodyfat ..i just think it increases metabolism to the point that fat oxidation alone cant meet energy needs so muscle is used. Clen ...as u prob know stimualtes fat cells while providing the increase in bmr ...thus the effectivness at burning fat while sparing muscle. Im not sure about the clen then t3 idea...your thyroid will take a beating this way downregulated from clen ...then shut down with t3 ...and so on. I have no 1st hand experince doing this so i cant comment with 100% conviction....

clen stimulates fat cells? not saying you're wrong but can you give me a link to this, i always thought clen worked by stimulating beta 2 receptors, which are located on heart cells

and again can you tell me how clen affects your thyroid?

correct ...beta 2 receptors increase heat productuon in mitochondria ..raising body temp .....the increased mitochodrial activity (raised body temp)directly stimulates fat cells as source of energy.( as far as link read the clen profile here or on several other sites...its mentioned in most profiles) Beta 2 antagonists (clen, ephedrine) have an effect on your thyroid - goggle this (beta 2 antagonists thyroid effects) read first result titled "Effects of beta-adrenoceptor agonists and antagonists on thyroid" will explain better than i can outline here. I had always heard these things and followed then for years and it appears there is some scintific data to back them. I was never a big fan of t3 use i must say..only used it once and i do so well with clen why bother IMO. Diet , diet , diet ...its 95 % about diet...
