Burning DVDs with Toast

What is the average burn time to burn a movie dvd? Mine is in the process of encoding, and its been taking about 10min for each percentage of completion (20 min to complete 2%). Is this normal? My burner burns at a speed up to 16x. I just burnt it at the default settings, so I didn't pick anything ridiculously slow.

i burn mine with clone dvd an it take about 14 mins

encoding shouldn't take that long at all. you could encode a full blu ray file faster than that.

burning dvds is a lot slower that a cd, so even if your drive is up to 16x, it will be around 4x or so more likely. if you have a good cpu it will be faster too
