Test E/Deca Advice

Hey Guys, just found the site and was hoping I could get your opinions on my current cycle. I am currently in week 2 of a new cycle. I am running Test E at 500 mgs broken up into 2 shots (Mon and Thur) for 12 weeks. This will be my 3rd cycle. My previous cycles were a Primo and then Primo with 4 weeks of Deca two years ago while I was cycling. So this will be my first Test cycle. I am:

5 foot
158lbs
Been training with weights/triathlon training for 10 years or so (usually 9 months per year) with a few breaks due to injuries
Diet is very clean- lots of protein and carbs from good sources, 6+ meals/day.
Train like an animal. Take in at least 250 grams of protein per day.
I have both clomid and nolva on hand for pct.
My goal is to gain 10lbs of clean muscle. I'd like to be 160lbs with 8-10%bf
I'm going to start a cutting diet and add in lots of cardio around week 10-11.

My questions is this- I have a bottle of 300mg Deca that i'm thinking about adding to my cycle. I had slight pubertal gyno issue as a teenager and I am a bit concerned about taking the Deca because of it. It was just a small lump behind my left nipple and it went away on it's own.
If I do take it I would do so at 300mg per week for weeks 2-12. My question is- Should I bother? or just stick with the Test?

I have a bad right shoulder that is acting up a bit and I was thinking that the Deca might help with it. The shoulder isn't too bad but I have to plan my workouts around it every week.

Thanks for any suggestions and I plan on sticking around and contributing. This board seems to be much better than the one that I am currently a member at.

Just stick with the test.....if your shoulder is an issue...150 mg's a week of deca may help.....

JMO...I would have an AI on hand and use during you PCT specially if you are gyno prone....

^^Agreed, I don't think using the deca will make you more or less prone, but having an AI on hand or using it during the cycle will help and ease your mind

I was under the impression that Nolvadex would take care of gyno if a problem developed. If not could you suggest a proper AI for this cycle?
So if Deca isn't going to make me any more likely to develop gyno and my natural test production is going to be shut down due to the test e anyway than I might as well take the deca also? How much of a difference do you think it would make if I added the Deca?
I wasn't going to take it simply due to the progesterone-related side effects. Now I am starting to lean towards using it at 200-300 mgs/week if the likelihood of side-effects remains low.

It's a wise choice to use an AI throught this cycle, maybe some adex at 0.25mg ED. Nolva will take care of the sides but if you are going to run deca then nolva is a poor choice because it may cause gyno due to nolva upregulating Pgr.

I've run test 500mg a week and 400 mg of Deca at the same time for months on end. Your nipple story makes me nervous but I remember getting two sensitive lumps like that when I was a teen too and they went away. On AS though I have NEVER had tender breast issues and I've had periods of time where I abused some of this stuff on a weekly basis and never had so much as an itch with any of it, and all that without having any PCT items on hand. I was reckless, but extremely fortunate in that respect. Some people never have an issue and some get gyno on 100mg of test in one week, it is different in everyone. Add the deca but at least have Clomid on hand just in case. A tab a day of good Clomid for a week and you should be OK if your nipples start itching. Deca shouldn't aromatize as easily as the test so the risk shouldn't be any greater anyway.

Thanks. That is exactly what I was hoping to hear. If deca shouldn't add any side-effects than i'm going to add it at 200-300mg/week. I've done Deca alone before (200mgs/week, 8 weeks 10 years ago) when I was very young and very dumb and not had any gyno issues. The issue that I had as a teenager was just a small lump. The Dr checked it out and said not to worry and that it would go away and it did. I was never more than 10lbs overweight either (always a thick kid).
I have plenty of clomid/nolva on hand for pct and access to just about anything else that I may need.

Thanks. I'll look into getting some adex and stay off the nolva when running Deca. I never read about nolva making gyno worse with Deca. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
