Major BP increase after shot

Going on week 4 now of test/deca.Everything was perfect until i took my shot last night. All day today my head has been so heavy. Home bp metr showed 154 over 94. Normally pre cycle BP is 128/78. BP on cycle normally is at 130-ish/80-85

Any reason for this? I have metropro (the bp medicine) at home but not sure if should take it with the gear...

I am a pharmacist and if by metropro (this might be a non-U.S. brand, are you outside the U.S.) you mean metoprolol...it is fine to take on gear. If you are taking insulin or anything that can drop your blood glucose..stay away from metoprolol or any beta blocker. Beta blockers mask the symptoms of hypoglycemia by not allowing your heart to beat fast (tachycardia) when your body gets hypoglycemic.

The BP is most likely a volume issue...retaining water, and increased red blood cells...you might be better off with a diuretic...hydrochlorothiazide or even an ACE inhibitor with a diuretic...i.e. zestoretic. Limit your sodium intake to 2g a day max!!!
Good luck...i get the same issue...so I usually take 20-40mg of Lasix a day to keep my water retention and blood volume/BP down

Cycle is 600 test, 400 deca. Was goingto add 100var next week but that's on hold until i get this under control. This is my 4th cycle. Never had aBP issue in past test cycles. Only thing i can think of is yesterday i was moving the needle a lot in the legs coz the dam plunger was not pushing in so i forcing it in and it moved a lot.

I dont know about diuretic. I used licone root once and after 4 days i was literally going to faint even though i was drinking so much water. I think it was draining out too many electrolytes. So if i use something more powerful i dont want to feel like crap again.

So howdo we workout hard on a beta blocker then? Coz we need the heart to beat fast in this case?

dude, try some baby asprin first.. my bp was 166/90 4 days ago and it's dropped 35 points at 81/mg ed asprin...

IMO anxiety (what about your HR?)... try some benzodiazepine like trial if your BP drop its anxiety if drop just a little its physical. One or two days with this BP will not hurt you unless you have some brain aneurisma.

Take BP reading right after awakening.

OK aspirin has no effect on lowering blood pressure!!! It is an anticoagulant/anti-inflammatory and is contraindicated in people with high blood pressure or severe kidney issues because it cause you to rretain water and Na!...Beta blocker will cause some fatigue especially when you first start taking them. They will also hinder your workout a little bit...this is why I say go with the diuretic...just take 2 multivitamins a day and eat 2-3 bananas every day while on them. Each banana has about 8 mEq of potassium in them and we typically see 10-20 mEq perscribed when people have pottasium issues with diuretics...do 2-3 bananas is plenty. the diruetic you were taking before is garbage...these diuretics HCTZ, low dose Lasix will work more consistantly and predictably and are very well tolerated. Benzos will not lower your pressure if it is a volume issue...if it is anxiety it should...but can you get your hands on any benzos is the question and do you want to be fuct up all the time. I had the same BP issues and now take 20mg lasix a day and am golden...eat 2 bananas and take 2 MV each day and feel great.

?? not gonna argue with a guy who's lifes work is meds... i was under the impression that asprin thins ur blood a bit, lowering bp... if what you say is true, what would cause my bp to drop 30 points like that???

i dont know man...it prevents platlets from sticking together and decreases inflammation...so it doesnt decrease blood volume. This why they give it to people at risk for MI or who have had a heart attack or say to take itif you are having a heart attack...because it prevents platles from sticking to the athersclerosis. This is a stretch but maybe you have some serious inflammation from an injection that is clammping down on a big vessel in the area of inflamm and the aspirin fixed the inflammation..Whatever man if it worked for you keep on it...there are plenty of anomalies in medicine!! Did you maybe eat a sht tun of sodium that day? 30 points is huge too..there are not anydrugs that you can take...unless in the hospital that would lower your BP that much unless you ODed. Maybe you took your bp wrong or had the cuff too tight...you look pretty jact in yer pic make sure you have a large or XL cuff when reading your BP

I also take asprin ed and Im under the same impression you are. I was told it does help thin the blood by my doctor and my wife who's a medical student.

Well bp came back to cycle normal that is 130/80. I did an hr cardio & it just went down asap. Maybe there is some truth to doing cardio if ur bp goes high...

Well, the BP didnt go down. The headaches went down after cardio. Went to the doc today and twice the BP readings were 145+ / 95. No signs of an infection but this happened after that shot. Will try using some adex first to get rid of the bloat, if it fails then water pills, if it fails then BP meds i guess.

I can continue my cycle right? I was going to add anavar at 100mg next week also.
