    Eat or not to eat That is the question

    I go to the gym at 6 in the morning and due 30 minutes of cardio and them lift some wieghts. What should I eat before I go and what should I eat after the work out. I tried working out on empty stomach, but felt week and sick. I have been eating a small bowl of cereal then working out and drinking a body fortress protein shake afterwards with fruit in it. What should I do. I want to cut alot of fat and gain some muscle too. I am on cypanate and just started friday.

    write out your normal diet for the day as well as your stats

    bowl of raisin bran go to cym protein shake then grilled or baked chicken for lunch . Tuna or chicken for dinner. I drink nothing but water other than protein drink. I also eat apples and grapes in between and as an even snack after dinner. I way 235 Im 34 and 5 ft 10 stocky build.

    we need amounts as well

    write down everything you eat tomorrow and write it out like this

    meal 1
    8 egg whites
    1cup oatmeal

    meal 2
    etc
    etc

    Since you work out in the morning and you want to lose fat, I wouldn't eat before working out, just drink a low/no carb protein drink. JMO.

    not a good idea IMO as he will be working out in a very catabolic state, i would say his best idea is to supplement leucine/bcaas/caffeine before cardio and a pro/carb meal after cardio, then wait 15-20min minimum to start working out

    Eat, but lift first THEN do your cardio. I am not a fan of lifting first thing in the AM but if thats your only choice...

    wake up and eat first then head to the gym and do your weight workout then follow up with some cardio. Get your diet on track goodluck
