    diet when cutting

hey guys been running clen for the past two weeks and its working like it should but i feel like my strength is at a stand still. And i know its because i limited protein intake. My question is, if i am cutting and trying to gain strength without mass....should my protein intake be really high?

It is a very difficult feet to build muscle while cutting. You need surplus to build and deficit to cut.

Short answer: Yes, get protein from whole food sources when possible for greater thermic effect.

that's one of many reasons that could be the cause

protein intake should be high when in a calorie deficit to decrease chance of muscle loss and increase thermodynamic effect(among other reasons)

thanks ironmaiden. Ummm u know how the minimum requirement is said to be 1g per lb of body weight? for STRENGTH if you get lazy and dont eat enough protein can you pretty much kiss ur strength gains goodbye? My main goal right now is to keep my body weight but build tons of strength. My protein intake has sucked lately and my strength has gone no where. im guessing because its of alack of protein?

Protein is definitely a huge factor but if your macros are way off while cutting then that can also be a problem as well. Post it up in the diet section so we can take a look at that.

If total calories are too low then that could be a cause, fat content too low, carbs too low, of course protein too low.
