I just did my first pin of HCG. I have never given myself a shot and my shirt is covered in sweat. It didn't hurt and I have never considered myself needle phobic...but giving it to yourself is really different than a dr/nurse doing it.

Yep, it wasn't the needle so much, just doing it myself that bothered me. I have never had a problem with shots or blood draws from the Dr.
