The steroid world is absolutely unknown to me. I am what you could call a perfect idiot as far as steroid are concerned. So here seems to be the right place to ask a question about something I have just read, as there are so many top-notch specialists officiating on the board.

Everyone knows Bill Pearl's reputation (the best bb specialist alive, blah, blah, blah).

To quote Bill Pearl in his book "Getting Stronger", when referring to steroids, he says "Muscle cells make and store an organic molecule called creatine phosphate, or CP. CP is a short term energy restorer. Without it, everyone would find it hard to do more than two repitions of an exercise. Oral steroids enable you to make, store and use large amounts of CP, which allow you to lift long and heavy. But while orals promote CP synthesis, injectible do not. They just promote protein synthesis for growth."

Is that really that simple? Is that really so? I can't get rid of the impression that it's a ridiculously frivolous statement, that has nothing scientific in it.

But perhaps I am the dummy here. If some specialist would find the time to answer this, I would be very grateful. Many thanks in advance!
