quick question about pin size

Iam using 23gx1 in pins in the glute. i have done my first injection this past monday and everything was fine.Is the shorter needle doing the job ok or do i need to get 1.5 in.Just wondering. Also is it ok just to shoot test e at night or does it have to be for instance monday moring thursday night or would it still be ok if i pined monda night if i just pin tonight (thursday). thanks

1.5 is the suggested length for glutes, you want deep in the muscle tissue

nights are fine. dont have to be that anal about it..
i use 1 1/2 for glutes 1" for everything else

ya i see the reason i have them is because i didnt have any and my friend had some i need to order some.How would i know if its not getting deep enough into the muscle?Any visual size of that happening?
