What can I do if gluten products make me swell up and bloat/ retain more water? How do I replace the wheat bread etc...
well i like yams and naturally rolled oats, they are currently my only carb sources
If you're gluten sensitive........... DON'T EAT GLUTEN !!!!!
OATS: Contain a VERY similar protein called AVININ that resembles gluten. They usually contain trace elements of GLUTEN. If you MUST eat oats, get the ones from the health food store that are gluten free. However, if you're truly celiac, stay away from oats. GO Grits (very similar to oats, but from corn).
EAT GLUTEN FREE CARBOHYDRATE: Some good lower GI (Glycemic index) are:
-Quinoa
-Amaranth
-Lentils
-Beans
-Grits
-Sweet taters/Yams
-Red potatoes
-Brown Rice
