    shoulder tendonitis

Hey guys I have tendonitis in my right shoulder and it has recovered pretty well so far but there is still a little bit of pain left and it seems like my recovery has came to a stop..I ice my shoulder about 3-4 times a day. Is there anything else I can do to speed up the recovery process?

i have soulder pain as well. Believe it or not I havent done shoulders in over a year because of the pain. As far as speeding up the recovery, Id just keep on doing what youre doing and take it very slow on shoulders if and or when you fully recover. Also, I just ordered some glucosamine supp to help in with my shoulder joints. Good guck!

ah yes.... im 36, and have been battling shoulder tendonitis since i was 19. i have it in both shoulders, and i actually have bone spurs on the bottom of both rotator cuffs that will eventually have to be surgically removed.. but, for years i have had a modified workout, and i take a lot of joint supplements.. glucosamine, fishoil, and recently animal flex. currently i take the animal flex pack plus 1200mg fishoil pill daily and it helps. i also ice my shoulders after every workout, and my left shoulder every day regardless. monday im getting a cortisone shot in my left shoulder as its been quite achy lately and im getting ready to start a ph cycle of md1t and i want to be ready for it.

also, my modified workout really leaves out a lot of exercises that directly hurt my shoulders. i dont do any straight bar benching, its all dumb bell work. i dont really work my shoulders because they get enough work on chest and back days; however, recently i started doing very light shoulder work to warm up on my chest and back days. on back days i do 8 sets of rotator cuff exercises, and 4 sets of rear dumb bell flies (light weight). on chest days i do 4 sets of side lateral raise, front raises, and 4 sets of arnie presses. the side and front raises i use the 5lber's and for arnies i go up to 20's.. everything is 15 reps.. the weight is light, but it helps warm up the muscles before working chest or back.

cortisone shots really help me out.. typically i can workout well for 6 mos. without any pain after a shot.. ill get maybe another year or two before i opt for surgery..
