    First cycle for MMA fighter....

I'm an MMA fighter who is looking to put on about 5-10 lbs of lean body mass and lose 5 lbs of fat. I've been weight training consistently for many years now with a top strength coach and have seemed to have plateaued in mass gains. In order to compete at an ideal weight for me I would need gain these few pounds of muscle. Someone had put the idea in my head that a short 6-week cycle of test could do the trick and put me where i need to be. I'm looking to walk around slightly leaner than I am now at 155 so i could cut to 145 when competing

    Height 5'6"
    Weight 150 lbs
    Body fat 9 %
    MMA Training 4 x week
    Strength and conditioning 4-5x week

Would 6 weeks produce the effect I a looking for? He had also recommended test prop 2x a week. Is that a good test to take for me? And what would I need to come off this cycle? Clomid?

This is all very new to me and I would appreciate any advice or help from experienced users.

First off, welcome to AR (first post).

You really cant accomplish your goal at the same time. What I would do is up calories and run test e or cyp at 500mg/wk or so for 10-12 wks to help gain 10 lbs or whatever it turns out to be depending on many factors. and then diet down to loose the fat, maybe even adding in some clen. At 9% BF there isnt that much fat to loose. You definently dont want to be like bodybuilding on stage 4% or something ridiculous for a fight. But you could drop a couple % if you wanted.

6 weeks of test isn't gonna do too much for you. However, for MMA, may I suggest a lighter cycle, like Anavar, for 6 weeks? It will cut you up and increase lean muscle mass depending on diet.

Anavar is the king for all Martial Arts. No soreness, injection marks, it will get you stronger and leaner. That would be what you need to go from the 155 mark to 145. Test will give you water weight which you don't need as a fighter. But it's up to you. If you still wanna go with the Test, I'll elaborate on that as well.

    P.S.: I'm a 4 year Muay Thai fighter myself.

In your experience wouldnt halo be a much better option than anavar? personally i cant stand var.. but either way he wanted to gain some weight, which really isnt happening with either

Look up fight records most people that have been caught juicing lost there fight. Anavar or halo would be the cycle I would take but really excessive muscle mass isnt going to help and the pumps you get from anavar are only going to hinder your training. Hgh well long term and expensive would be the best bet for an mma competitor imho.

ive been doing a lot of research, no actual experience with aas myself yet.. but, i am in the process of planning an anavar only cycle. anavar would be a good option for you to research yourself. although you wouldu ideally want to finish your cycle before your next fight. i have heard that endurance goes down a little while on cycle. you will retain the majority of your gains with anavar as well. read this site like crazy, and use google as well to inform yourself first.
