You need to go to the ER or a PCP RIGHAT now. I have worked in healthcare. And if your toilet paper has ALOT of blood on it(not just a few small spots) you need to be seen asap. There is a tone of things it could be. It could be minor/major.

If it was alot of blood I urge you to see a dr. BP will rarely cause this. I have delt with BP for years. AAS will cause nose bleeds but its rare.

    ^x2.

Blood in stool is bad. It could be hemorrhoids or it would be polyps. Go see a Dr. There are a number of things which could have caused this. Some more severe than others.

THE COMMON CAUSES OF BLOOD IN THE STOOL AS THE MAJOR SYMPTOM

This classification is based on two features of rectal bleeding: the color of the blood and the character of the stool. The rules on which this classification is based are not infallible.

    1. Bright red rectal bleeding
    1. The stool is solid and firm
    1. Lesions of the anal canal: hemorrhoids, fissures, carcinomas
    2. Proctitis: idiopathic, traumatic, or bacterial
    3. Adenomas and carcinomas of the left colon
    4. Radiation proctitis
    5. Solitary ulcer of the rectum
    2. The stool is variably soft to formless
    1. Colitis: idiopathic, ulcerative, or bacterial
    2. Adenomas and carcinomas of the mid-colon
    3. Diverticulitis with bleeding
    4. Radiation colitis
    5. The rare case of angiodysplasia of the colon
    2. Dark red rectal bleeding
    1. The stool is variably soft to formless
    1. Colitis: idiopathic, ulcerative, or bacterial
    2. Adenomas and carcinomas of the mid-colon
    3. The rare case of angiodysplasia of the colon
    4. Diverticulitis with bleeding
    2. The stool is formless to liquid, but low volume
    1. Adenomas and carcinomas of the right colon
    2. The rare case of angiodysplasia of the colon
    3. Black stools, which may be interpreted by the patient as bleeding
    1. The stool is solid and firm
    1. The ingestion of iron or bismuth (Pepto-Bismol)
    2. Overindulgence in spinach and other greens
    2. The stool is soft and sticky or liquid and of increased volume
    1. Duodenal ulcer
    2. Gastric cancer or gastric ulcer
    3. Diffuse gastritis
    4. Meckel’s diverticulum
    5. Carcinoma of the ampulla

RED STOOL & bright red BLOOD in the stool
Be worried. Though bright red blood in the stool or on the toilet paper is usually due to hemorrhoids, it is abnormal and should be considered a serious problem unless your doctor evaluates you and tells you otherwise. Blood in the stool is not normal. It means that something in your gut is bleeding. If you see bright red blood in the toilet bowl after a bowel movement and feel weak (not just from the shock of seeing blood), seek medical attention promptly. If you see a little bright red blood on the toilet paper after you wipe, you should mention this to your doctor. Even though it will likely turn out to be hemorrhoids, blood in the stool can come from something that can be an emergency, like a bleeding ulcer or a dead section of bowel, or from something equally bad but not immediately life-threatening, like cancer. The point is, you can't diagnose yourself, and more serious causes must be ruled out. Call your doctor.

Wow high 20's? I'm not saying ur wrong, I'm a RN and I've never heard of anyone having a resting pulse rate that low I've seen high 30's. I worked on a telemetry floor for a year and have seen several patients heart rates showing up on the monitor in the 20's, needless to say they were all unresponsive and was being coded shortly after.

OP I would definitely get get the blood in stool thing checked out, esp. if this is happening frequently, this isn't normal, yeah it could be hemorrhoids but there is also several other things it could be. At least get a HGB and HCT ran to see if ur losing blood.

Nope . If it gets that low your in the hospital athlete or not. Id say 40's are pushing it on your health but can be achieved through years of training
