    Sterilizing grapeseed oil help

i bought 100%natural grapeseed oil from a supermarket today. My question is, can i just bake it or do i have to filter it also? If i have to filter it, how can i do it besides whatman filters?

um. or you could just save yourself the time and trouble and possible infection

and just buy sterile grapeseed oil to cut your prop with.

From what I have read, you can use any oil, as long as the final step is filtering it through a 0.22 micron filter.

Are you sure it was sterile and not just filtered. The oil i have seen is just filtered or non filtered.

Once you filter it thru a .22 micron filter, any oil is sterile. I buy my grapeseed oil at the supermarket, filter it and its just fine.

This is not entirely correct....Once filtered, it is particle free, NOT STERILE....

If i were to pour raw chicken juice in my oil, and then filter it....It is particle free, but far from sterile....This is why we tyndalize the final product...

Alot of people confuse the process of making gear, by interchanging what a filter actually does....It makes it particle free, not sterile...

Is that a fact? I suggest u do a bit more research. A .45 micron wont sterilize but a .22 micron will. My wife has a masters degree in bio chem. She is the manager of a flu and vaccine company. I dont care what anyone on these boards say, half of them dont know their ass from their elbows, but i trust her knowledge and experience. Let me ask u, if my gear wasn't sterile why did i not have one infection thru the whole cycle? Guess im just lucky....lol

PS.... I use grapeseed oil from the grocery store that sure as **** aint sterile b4 i filter it.

i just bought filtered grapeseed oil from a chem research site...so is that considered sterile and good to go since its already been filtered though a .22 filter? just want to be certain and safe thanks

I have been doing my final filtering with the .22 micron filter,i dont use a coffee filter for the first filtering but use a .45micron filter. I havnt had any problens with this method using the filtered oil from the research companys.
