My diet is on point as far as meals go... but I drink a diet pepsi every other day... How bad is that when trying to loose BF
And another question... I am at 9.X% BF right now and I am trying to gain muscle while I loose weight. I do an hour of cardio first thing in the AM with a heart rate between 120-130. I try to do this 5 - 6 days a week by I have been hearing I should only do this 1 - 3 days a week... thoughts?
from personal experience when trying to go into the low bodyfat area, try to do cardio more than once a day, and if trying to keep muscle, don't do am cardio unless supplemented with bcaa and protein (only).
i do cardio first thing when I wake up and then immediately come home and eat have a 60+ g protein along with outmeal and maybe a few pieces of ham. Maybe i'll add an additional hour of cardio at night when possible.
If you're fine with ham, I don't think a diet soda is going to hurt you.
I have a coke zero whenever I eat tuna; helps it go down a little easier. I'm not in single digit bf that though. The little things start to matter more and more the lower you get. Like I said though, if you're eating ham...
i drink pepsi max/coke zero every now and then whilst cutting and i dont think it has hindered fat loss plus it kind of gives me a mental break to have one every now and then.
the problem is not only the diet, zero carb blah blah blah; it is in the carbonation too. carbonation agitates your gi tract and causes the body to neglect nutrient absorption. If it is not natural, DITCH IT!
what kind of diet are you on??
sugar alcohols are a no no while on keto...
diet soda keeps my sugar cravings at bay.......god bless diet soda![]()
A little known fact about diet soda... especially the coke zero, sprite zero, etc... They are sweetened with Acesulfame Potassium (Ace-K). If consumed in quantity (obviously not in your case with one can a day), they can cause high potassium levels resulting in a variety of dangerous side effects when combined with the strict diet and the intense training of a bodybuilder... not to mention the combination of 'gear' one may be administering. The most significant negative side effect is heart attack and stroke. Minor side effects include cramping, headachs, and fatigue.
I see no problem when used in moderation. Its nice to have a diet coke at the very least when scoializing with people who are drinking alcohol. As long as it isnt in high volume ther eis no problem having it.
i think it tastes like shit........prefer water any day......i have one can of normal coke a week.....Now thats GOOD!!!!!!!!!
i limit it to like on weekend just one can or so on sat.
Because i have experimented with it and let me tell you it does make a huge different how you look when cutting.
can of sugar free, just on weekend.
i have never had sugar drinks.
oh dont get me wrong, it might actually taste fantastic, just those 40g of sugar or so, if i am enjoying little bit of food on weekend i would rather get it from something i make like nice low fat dessert or something.
but sugar free drinks, i tell ya now, if your leaning up and you have too much of that stuff it will hinder the way you look and your goals.
i have experimented
nothing at all wrong with a diet soda!
