wtf nolva vs clomid

ok, i'm a little confused on pct, i've read some post and usually for the last 2 week they take nolva and clomid together....now i'm reading other post and they have people taking nolva first then clomid....WTF?

are you supposed to take them together or separate?

Maybe I'm behind on times....


But nova and clomid are both SERMs.....Nova is the stronger of the 2 SERMS.

Why would you run both?

It's like taking 2 different pain killers for a head ache.

I think it would make more sense to run a mild AI and a SERM if you are running high dosages of test.

The SERM will compete with the estrogen, to bind to the receptors. A lower stregth AI like A-dex will keep some of the testosterone from converting to estrogen, or lower your estrogen levels to fight any bloat or other estrogen related sides.

The only reason I could see running both, would be maybe if you were using nova, and wanted to finish off with something lower strength for the final 2 weeks of PCT and run clomid.

But, if you research them further, you find out what a serm does and what a AI does.

2 different things all together.

So, take the nolva with the clomid.

I know what a SERM and AI do, lol.

A, Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) does not affect your estrogen levels, it competes with the estrogen and avoids gyno in particular by binding to your estrogen receptors stronger than the estrogen it's self.

An Aromatase Inhibitor (AI) Inhibits the production or conversion of androgens into estrogen.

Both are used in breast cancer patients generally, and both are really different. Prior to AI's, Nova was the best option for patients, but a SERM and a AI work in different ways.

An SERM (Nova/Clomid) bind to a estrogen receptor, it does not activate it.

An AI (Letro/A-dex) I've read that AI's bind to a cytochrome that in turn prevents the conversion of androgens into estrogen. I'm not 100% positive if it binds to anything though, but it works in a different way than a SERM by eliminating estrogen, rather than competing with it.
