    Adrogel users

    Group,

    Due to changes in my prescription benefits, I have been switched to Androgel. I am to do 7.5mg per day. My insurance plan will only allow injectibles done in the office.

    What are the pro's and con's of androgel? Did you notice an increase in libido?

    I think you mean 7.5 g which is 75mgs per day.

    Ok I see. Well I am assuming that you have low T. If you are taking it for that reason and not looking to put on muscle then yes you will notice an increase in sex drive. You will feel better all around. However if your goal is to put on mass it will do little. The injectable is far superior. If your t levels are low then it will def help with sex drive, energy, and it did help me lean out a bit, but that was with proper diet and exercise..

    I would not use it during cycle. It doesnt lend itself to stable test levels and that can contribute to sides. Are you planning on being on hrt??

    Yea...my endo knows that I have cycled in the past and is treating my low test levels. (I'm 43btw) This time he didn't share with me my free test results, he just increased from 5g per day to 7.5 as I complained my libido was down and would he test my Free/Bound test along with Progesterol and Estradiol. He wanted me to wait a month...then get re-tested then.

    I don't want to start the cycle until the next set of labs are due...which is Mondy. I haven't cycled since March...

    When you get your lab work back if all checks out then start your cycle. Pay attention to your estradiol, i needed to use a small dose of adex to keep my estrogen in check. I would stop the gel to get my numbers low enough to convince him that I needed the injectable. Or perhaps he will just agree to it at your request??? When you come off cycle it would be great to have your endo on board with the injectable test for trt therapy.

    I know. Before my RX coverages changed, he did prescribe cyp, but only at 100mg twice a month. My new RX coverage makes me to into the office for the injections...can't do it at home.

    I am on legit HRT and I used andogel a few years back ( i prefer injects)..

    The problem is that transdermals have a very low absorption rate( 30-40 % and thats when using a lecithin based organogel like phlogel ..)

    You will have to get bloodwork done to see where it puts your levels at..

    As stated make sure to keep an eye on your estrogen levels ..

    there is a ugl in holland makeing trenflow test gel 100mgs/ml ,100ml tubes ,i have used it and its good shit ,unrelated to this thread but just thoght i would let you know.

    What time of the day do you get bloodwork vs gel application when on the gels ? Do the docs want to check the high point, low point, or something in between ?
