You ever wonder why people can't find jobs?
This evening, I finished up a rehab project with a friend.
After working, I showered up, changed, and tied up a few loose ends in the office. I then scurried out the door to grab my compadre and darted to the local Pizza Hut for some wings and brewed beverages.
Upon arriving, we were taken care of promptly, and served promptly. But we never received any wings we ordered, just beer and pizza.
The "manager" approaches.
He treated us like we were "buddies", sat down at our table. His pants were about to fall off his ass, and while his eyes point to New York, his hat points to the gulf of Mexico (we are in michigan btw).
He blabbed for awhile, but I could not focus because of his poor attire, a decked out pizza hut polo, side ways hat, some blue dickies 3 sizes too large on a 150lb frame.
I asked for the store manager, "I am".
I called him out on how he dressed to manage a establisment, he really did not have a response.
Granted, this is just Pizza hut, maybe a step up, maybe down, from KFC but seriously?
Someone is going to invest 1+ million into a franchised restaurant and you are going to leave a mid 20's thug in charge? Good help is hard to find, but this is what everyone see's when they walk in.
Outside of work, walking down the street, I would not even notice, or look twice, it's an every day occurrence. But shouldn't a customer service oriented position, be required to have some type of dress code that would deem them to look "professional" maybe?
I would never sell 1 customer dressing like that, I would get laughed out of business.
