    muscle glycogen

    how long does it take for it muscle glycogen to be stored as fat.

    i.e. i had a cheat day where cabrs came from ice cream a chicken salad roll a lean meat sandwich and oats. very low fat.

    if i train the next day will it still be in my muscles or be stored as fat by then. i know i should have trained but i didn't believe me this a rare occasion but i want to know how bad it is. if it still is in my muscles then in my point of view its not that bad as i will be able to utilize it in the next days's training.

    It doesn't just stay in ur muscles.... Even if ur not moving ur using energy ...
    It turns into fat after u eat and all the meal is digested and ur boy says ok this is extra and this too and this too ....

    i spoke to the trainer at my gym he says the average person stores 600g carbs in thier muscles (depending on some variables). I wouldnt have gone over 300g today and i have more muscle mass than the average person - am i safe to say it will be stored in the muscles until tomorrow's weight training?

    ... I don't know where ur trainer got this number I personally have not heard of it but Carbs are a form of energy that enter ur body to be transformed into ATP ( adenosine triphosphate ) whic h is ur bodys main source of energy to drive metabolic reactions... Glycogen is stored as a reserve when the exertion of energy Is sudden and the need of energy is Less than one tha a triglicerides... Ur body stores carbs and fats as adipose tissue(fat) whenever those things are replenished....there is no such thing in my opinion as it SIts there because thousands of metabolic activities take place even sitting down u use it constantly and then u eat another meal and replenish or not eat and body breaks down fat from adipose tissue or muscle to provide energy or both it depends onthe activity

    Yes, but who said that your glycogen reserves were totally depleted?
    Second, if your eating alot of carbs all the fats you have will suddently feed your adipose tissue.
    Then your body can build glycogen with a certain speed. If you have 300g carbs at one time, be sure that all won't be turned into glycogen.

    every weight session depletes me im doing upto 30 sets and carbs between 50-150g/day. PWO i only use protein and thereafter.

    And i didnt have 300g carbs in one sitting. could you eat ice cream a chicken salad roll a lean meat sandwich and oats in one sitting?
