I am your size. I too lie and say 5'10". 5'9" all the way baby. I try to hover around 190 to 205, single digit body fat. Any bigger and I look funny to me. And it's hard to maintain more weight than that with my metabolism.

Some guys want to be freaks. That's cool for them. I'm much happier staying just 'big'. And 'cut'. I am very happy with the way I look at that size. Too each his own.

"Too big", nah I don't think so. I'm 5'8 1/2- 5'9" tops. Weigh around 210, current goal is to get around 225-230. But, like Manicc stated everyone is different.

I don't think I will ever consider myself "TOO BIG" -- But that's my own personal issue.

Now, if it was pure fat then yes there would be a "TOO BIG"

I think there has been a huge shift in bodybuilding mentality. Its all about getting "big" and less about getting "fit."

The last girl to me I was too big do I banged her sister

It's all a personal opinion. I would only say someone is too big if it keeps them from doing every day activities like fitting through doors with out turning sideways or wiping your ass.

THE MASS MONSTERS are nothing but a category or weight class in the sport. TOP LEVEL is being about as BIG as you can possibly get and still LOOK fit... Can Jay Cutler run a mile in 6min30sec.. probably not, but he doesn't have because MUSCLETECH bought the LandRover that moves him around instead..

Top Level Bodybuilding has always been about HOW BIG CAN YOU GET.. even in Arnolds day.. they didnt have the knowledge or all the proper compounds to be able to access the possibility of getting that big or else Arnold would have been Jay's Size just because THAT WAS HIS MENTALITY.. Bigger Bigger Bigger.. he just reached as BIG as possibly could have got.. and from the last time I checked.. Arnold.. WAS A VERY LARGE AND MUSCULAR DUDE..

You hit it right they look fit. When I think fit, I think of people who are able to excel at different physical tasks. I don't think a bodybuilder really fits my idea of what fit is. However my hats off to them for doing something very very few people can do whether its at the amateur level or professional.

This is a great topic. These fvckin guys (cutler, yates, coleman and whoever else, i quit reading those dumbass mags like flex and muscular developement a long time ago) would want you to believe that they can run a mile in 6min 30 sec. anyone with any brains knows that they couldn't run a mile in an hour if their life depended on it. Fvck the Land Rover, they can't get their fat ass in it. IMO, those pro's, albeit they may be some cool cats, but they're tools imo and i'll tell you why.
First, they do interviews for Flex and other mags recommending workouts to people that (for the most part) really have no idea what they're doing. These beginners read these dumbass workouts and believe that they'll work. Well, this is why so many people stop working out. The normal person has a fvcking job to go to and can't sleep and eat all day long. and inject themselves 10 times a day. But they convienently leave that part out don't they.
Furthermore, these guys aren't truthful. But believe me, i don't care how much shit you do. it's your body. Just don't mislead kids that believe that if they go to a gym and workout hard and have a good diet, and eat your "protien" bars, they're going to look like you. You're lying to them and that's not right. Which brings me to this, will these pro's say anything for a dollar, and promote Cell Tech or any other brand that pays them? Yes, they will.
In closing, i'd like to know at what age these tools started using juice. How'd they get it and why? And if it's so dangerous for us "common man" to use, what does their insides look like?

Alright, i'm done. Just had to get that off my chest.

I dont know I m turning the other way. I always wanted to be bigger stronger, but now I am going to try to cut a decent ammount of weight. I am 5-6 and i want to be between 155-160max with single digits bf% ripped to the bone. Want to start training ju jitsu more. I am to blocky when i am bigger and lose flexibility. Plus I pull way more chicks if i am a skinny pale 150 then when i am a jacked 170 tanned. I just look like such a beeeef ball ha. Although i had great success in my last summer cycle with girls at 165-168. People just say i look better at lower weight.

I'm 205lb's and will be getting bigger I don't care but there is a limit I will go for maybe in 5 -7 years ahead be 220lb's at a lowish bodyfat and then that will be me happy. But I do agree with ST Pete some of the pros come out with crazy things altogeter lol. But I do think Arnie's time was the best for body building they didn't look like freaks they just looked Huge and in perfect proportion.

Your body will acclimate itself to the weight. I remember the first time I reached 214, and then 224 and so on. Each time it was a milestone and I felt like I could handle no more weight. Sleep becomes an issue, losing my breath walking up stairs, but you do get used to it. I reached 258 lbs this off season and once again felt that was my limit. Im cruising for a few more weeks and my weight has fallen to just below 250. I feel great at 250, no sleep issues, breathing is no problem. I have one more bulking run before I start to prep. Im shooting for 260lbs. Im looking for a competition weight of 210-215. Damn that's small.

    Can't be too big!!

    This is it^^^

Your body adjusts to the weight over a period of time...I would say usually close to a year to fully adjust. When I first hit 230, I was thinking the same and yet I kept trucking along, by the end of the year and now, I can run 4 miles with the weight (not real fast avg 10min mile) and move around as agile as I was with the lower weight. It will keep adjusting, but it is a pain in the ass to adjust.

Same here. I was 205-210 at 5'7", I just came off my hrt a few months ago, dieted and now Im down to 190 ish. Ive never got more compliments in my life, from you look like an athlete to you look so much younger.

The only one that isn't happy with my body is myself, but its growing on me LOL. Im going to diet down to 180 ripped too, and then build lean mass up to 185-190 and stick with that. I feel much better now, thats a plus, not out of breath all the time.

My GFs at the times when I cut up always loved it. I also felt much as you did, better.

But with a shirt on it was complete different animal. I mean I was cut the hell up but with a shirt on I felt like I looked like just a guy that was above average.

I cycled off two weeks ago and I am gonna stay off for 6 more weeks and see what happens.

I hope you didn't take it as I thought you were small. I feel small at 210-215 after being much bigger in the off season. I know I look better and feel better when I diet. But after spending so much time trying to build, it kinda sucks to cut down.

I look totally normal with a shirt on. I wear baggy, dark colored shirts. Nobody knows what is under there.

Then when the time is right, the shirt comes off. The girls eyes pop open in shock. I love that. I know its only minutes until her pants hit the floor.

My (not too big ) body is my ace card. I love it.

one thing I've found is as you grow if you continue to do pullups, dips, situps, push ups, you learn to carry it better. When you can still utilize your own weight its a good thing. Stretching becomes very important though
