carbs and fats at the same time

.I read somewhere that if you eat carbs and fat at the same the carbs will be used for energy since it is more easily used and the fat will just be stored as fat. How true is this and how big of a deal is it?

my current diet is like this:

    meal 1: pro/carb

    meal 2: pro/carb

    workout

    pwo: pro/ carb

    meal 3: pro/fats

    meal 4: pro/fats

You probably read that on the sticky, and the argument for it was horrible.

It tells you to only eat low GI, complex carbs (which is of course good)

But then it tells you to separate carbs from fat, and it's reasoning is literally "SOME carbs spike insulin levels..."

....when the reason we are told to eat low GI, complex carbs is BECAUSE they don't spike insulin levels, so why the hell are we told to separate them?

Yes. Overall, the main thing that matters when it comes to weight loss is the calories you are taking in per day. The other stuff is mostly people that min/max down to every little detail for the best results possible.

No carbs right before bed is important also.
