Cheers bro - I've never been a vascular person, but then again I was never lean enough to see what was under there haha

Much appreciated, you look ridiculous yourself man, especially your legs. Yeah man at nights I would look at my abs in the mirror and there were veins running all through them, it was scary. As I said, I gotta take a few leg shots I'm happy with before I post.

Absolutely! You did an excellent job of maintaining muscle and shape while getting very lean.

I appreciate the words of encouragement. Competing has always been something i'd love to do - however, I've talked to a few of my close friends who compete and they tell me even at the amateur local level shows, the judging is always biased/rigged etc. I love the struggles of dieting (as weird as this may sound), and it's more a competition between myself and what I looked like yesterday or lifted last workout that motivates me to keep going - not comparing my physique with others. I'm sure in the future i'll compete after I graduate from university and have a steady job and get in to a good rhythm, however for now, I just need to keep lean and slowly grow and grow and grow.

We are the same age, I have found getting lean or maintaining it takes no more or no less work than it did 20 years ago. 40's in this sport is your prime.

yes i know exaclty what u mean, i was totally oblivious to at my first show about who the 'judging' process works, after i talked to the guy who won the show and a few others it just made me kinda gasp how biased these things are. national level shows and pro shows are even worse! and ur def on the right track with staying in school, im doing the same and wont compete again til i get my BA and a job!
