    bad back

    for the past 5 weeks my back has been sore not just after lifting but every day all day its the right side, i have still lifted but am woundering if i should take time off or just use lower wieghts.

    iv stopped doing dead lifts, squats

    what do u guys think

    I used to strait leg deads on a block about 325 a whyle back and my last set..I sparaind my lower back about 3yrs ago soo now when I do bent exercised my lower back gets all tight and sumtime its hard to move. What I do now is on back day tred mill for 20 sweat alittle. Stretch a lot. Start real light get the blood to the area. Lift a little lighter and slower if it starts gettn tight stretch more. 2 sets w barbell then Do hyper ext. For rest of lower back. That's only on deads rest of back is ok. I love back day!! A corn feed ice bag or soft large cooler bag at home put under lower back 10 on 10 off 10 on 10 off untill cool and kinda numb ibuprofin befor bed rest. Wake up feelin pretty good stretch sum more little befor moning cardio and a lot after. Main objective keep swelling to minimum. Don't take nsaid a lot they inhibit muscle fiber conection and are real harsh on the liver. That's just my experience and .02

    I also do lunges instead of sqats a lot maybe 3 to 1

    thanks for the help, i think im going to take a week off to just to let it sort it self out

    That's not a bad idea. When you come back try and stick to legg press and iso work glute, hams, qauds, ect.. Also look up doggcraps post he says his way you can grow 100+ times a year instead of 52 its pretty cool. Maybe incorperate some of his ways into your back and legg days. I'm trying to get my doggcrap/6ft5 routien together for myself. Ill have it together soon. Best luck man.
