Is all TRT considered anti-aging?

My insurance says the following is excluded from coverage:

Medications used for cosmetic purposes or to enhance athletic performance (i.e. anabolic steroids and minoxidil
lotion, retin A (tretinoin) for aging skin). Also excluded are drugs, oral or Injectable, used to slow or reverse
normal aging processes (i.e. growth hormone, testosterone, etc.).

Does this mean that at 33 if I have low test I wouldn't be covered? I not sure if low test can be considered a different problem than "normal aging". I've only been to my Dr. twice and not at all for 2-3 years. I don't want to go and try to get a test if my insurance won't even cover it. Are the tests expensive?

No, if you go to a doctor/Endocrinologist and he said you NEED this it's covered. Not 100% guaranteed but if it's a decent insurance they will cover.

call you insurance company.. ask them under what conditions would they cover it if at all.. they are required to tell you what their protocol is

It depends too, my insurance only pays for a 30 day supply, but my test lasts me 10 weeks

i HOPE the fvck that they dont stop prescribing it insurance or not....it would suck either way...but actually...i, myself...do look at replacing hormones as anti aging BUT...BUT...isnt any medicine that repairs adding years to our lives?
