    Weight Gainer.. Sugar Conversion?

Taking a weight gain supplement. I noticed the sugars are 43 grams per serving. Should I be concerned with that? Meaning will the body convert this sugars into quality gains while on a cycle? I stay away from fats, aside from flax seed oil. But I don't just want chunky weight.. I want muscle, quality muscle!!!!

Most people will tell you, and I agree, that those weight gainers are pure crap. 43g of sugar is disgusting for somebody dieting/working out.

Want to gain weight? Eat FOOD.

Exactly what I suspected. My diet is very strict. I purchased this on a whim to measure the results, and just after one serving I could see a difference in what seemed to be water retention in the abdominal area. Could have been fat. That's when I posted the question. Thanks for confirming.

No problem. I wouldn't worry about it being fat, that's highly unlikely. With 43g of sugar per serving, it's almost undoubtedly water retention and/or bloating.

Discontinued use of the high sugar weight gain. Didn't like the water retention and low quality weight gain.

Now you're getting somewhere! If that's you in your avatar, you look like you have a good base and some mass - you don't need weight gainer anyway!
