I cycle humalog insulin with my ghg, 4 days a week 4 weeks on 5 weeks off. At this rate one vial of humalog will last quite a while. I have read a lot that insulin is only good for 30 days to disreguard it after. well mine will take way longer to take than 30 days and the glass bottle says exp 2011 on it. obviously i don't believe there is a way to tell if it is dong its job or not since the only sign is hypo and no one wants to test that.. so what are yalls opinions?

Yes, you will hear that quite often about insulin, but it will still be effective if it has been opened for more than 30 days. I've used insulin which has been opened for much longer than 30 days plenty of times and still found it effective. Just ensure it is kept refrigerated.
