Hi, I'm new to the site, obviously. Have read a bit here and there before, but only recently decided to join. I'll be lingering around trying to pick up as much info as possible. Mostly in regards to proper dieting and rest.
Fun Facts about me:
I'm 24 years old
Been lifting since I was 15, but only recently starting thinking seriously about the science behind the sport.
I've been up 215lbs at 13%BF according to pysicician, then dropped to 175 in the army due to some awesome, non-FDA approved meds... love the Army and their fondness for unapproved meds. I'm now back up to 200lbs, but at 18%bf and it's taken 2 years to get back this far... yeah, been lazy and crappy dieting, too but I am making progress.
I make it to the gym at least 3 times a week, work out at home when I can't hit the gym.
I normally start on the treadmill for 20 minutes at a 3.5-4.5 pace at a #2 incline to warm-up and get the blood flowing, and then spend 1-2 hours on the machines/weights. I know it's inconsistent, however, I'm working on changing it, but first things first.. diet.
My biggest peeves are ass-clowns who grunt and groan obnoxiously while lifting, drop or toss weights around(see "ass-clown"), and people who refuse to wipe down equipment with the complimentary paper towels and disinfectant when they're finished.
Soo... I'll be lingering around a bit and taking in the good information.
