    Iphone 4

    grrr, anyone else trying to pre-order one of these? I didn't even plan to get one, but decided Tuesday to get one of my kids a new phone. While browsing the AT+T store I checked out the iphone 4, and decided to get one for myself. I've been so busy with everything else in my life, I had no idea that the day I was shopping happened to be the release date of the phone. I tried to pre-order, then found myself mixed into the frenzy that has apparently spread like wildfire. I don't really need a new phone, but now it has become kind of a quest lol. anyone got connections with Apple? help a brother out...

    I've had a BB for years too and just got the new curve on Sunday..

    Iphones are bad ass though and I may make the switch one day.. People are definetely crazed for those things though.. I actually heard there was a pre-order delay due to something.. can't remember what though.

    how do you like the 3gs? I hadn't followed the hype on the 4 until my order didn't go through, and I thought about getting a 3gs for now just to see how I like the touch screen and all. I'm afraid if I wait for the 4 it will be months before I finally get one, but if I get a 3gs the 4 will be available next week lol

    It's because they had 600,000 orders in a day. They pushed back the date until July 14th. They're system crashed and screwed up causing double orders, then people got emails saying they wouldn't get one (because they ordered 2).

    yeah I was just reading the news stories about the mayhem. I feel so out of touch, when I saw the 4 Tuesday on AT+T's website I had no idea it was so new, for all I knew it had been out for months.

    I love it. I've had an iPhone for a few years now. Actually every single one of my 2500 posts are from an iPhone. The touch screen is extremely simple. I can type without lookin at the screen. It's something you get used to very fast. Everything about the phone is great.

    hmmm, now the question is whether I should get a 3gs for now or hold out for the 4. decisions, decisions. I loved my blackberry but it was work furnished and I had to turn it in, now I've got a Samsung copy of the blackberry and it sucks.

    definelty hold out till the 4 comes out! i wouldnt waste my money on a older version if u could have the new.

    Walmart is running a special for the 3gs for $99 if you renew your contract. You could go and do this and then return it on te 24th for the 4g since it's within your 30 day return policy. Apple will match the $99 price aswell. My 3g broke a few weeks ago and this is what I did and I'll be returng mine on the 25th. I'm considering it a bday present to myself.

    if you get the 3gs and jailbreak it, its almost like the new one, besides the better camera and video chat and like 1 other thing

    you can run apps in the backround once you jail break it and get proswitcher

    ^^ Don't listen to him, jailbreaking a 3gs isn't going to come close to a 4. Jailbreaking a 3g will get you close to a 3gs. Don't know where you live but the apple stores near me will have limited quantities in store on a first come first serve basis. So if you feel like camping out thats always a choice lol. I've had every version iphone since they came out, best phone ever.

    I know it does not have att the gizmo's but i love my Sonim,,, fully waterproof, dust proof, impact hardened, acid resistant, toughest phone in the world, that's what i like about it, never have to worry about the phone

    i will be getting the new iphone so i can be on this site while i am in class ha excellent. i am just not stoked about leaving verizon the service is so much better then at&t.

    I've been with Verizon since it was GTE Mobilnet in the beginning of cellular service and where I live asd work AT&T is very spotty at best, where Verizon rocks the coverage. As soon as Verizon get the Iphone, then I'll be all over it.

    That's what pisses me off with AT&T. I tried getting my wife an IPhone like mine for Christmas, but they did the same thing to me. Her account had another 7 months on the contract, so their method of marketing is to punish their loyal customers with this $200 BS penalty. I would have signed a contract extension if needed, but they're much greedier than just wanting a signature and the price of a new phone.

    well here's a big WOOT! for Apple's incredibly slow servers. after never getting my order to successfully submit when I first tried to order, I've been checking daily (ok, several times a day, I'm a loser) to see if they have opened up the system for pre-orders yet. this morning I get a text from AT+T thanking me for my Iphone4 order, I log back in to my account, and find that one of my order attempts on the 16th actually went through and my order is being processed. I called just to make sure, and the operator said they are just now getting the servers all back online, and my order was successfully processed on one of the attempts on the 16th, but the server crashed before my confirmation came through. sweet.
