Congrats.. so what exactly are the elements that are contributing to your anxiety bro? Are you having second thoughts or are you just anxious to embark on the new chapter in your life? What are the real risks here and how does your decision impact your overall goals? Sounds like a great thing man.. what kind of restaurant?

The restaurant industry is very fickle..Get a head chef you can trust.. and watch everyone like a hawk. Especially if you do alot of business at the bar.

Also i think people should recognize that the two most difficult businesses to open and run in a profitable manner (the way everyone tries to do it) are a restaurant and a bar. the over head is astronomical, inventory has a very limited life, business is usually cyclical at best, the switching costs to the consumer is negligent, and consumer discretionary spending is pretty curtailed right now.

Im not trying to sound negative at all and wish you the best roca but its not a foregone conclusion that it will hit the ground running and people need to recognize that. Im sure you have the experience, knowledge, and drive, and have done your due diligence. And thats really all you can do, simply minimize the opposing factors.

thanks guys for the replies, it's an italian restaurant, btw for anyone who's asking where it is, it's in kuala lumpur, malaysia, i don't know i just came one time for a visit and i just stuck here lol, of course if anyone know's malaysia, he know's how its very hard for a foreigner to open a business here.

i knew the first few months will be hard, but damn, i hope next month will be better, i just wanted someone to guide me throw his experience, is this normal ? will it change ?? i'm just anxious to see this place packed with people.
