    Fractured Femur reoccurring problems

I fractured my left femur about 6-7 years ago and it barely gave me problems throughout the years, except for minor pains after some wrestling practices/matches 3-4 years ago.

However, lately the pain has been getting worse and worse. My squats have been getting heavier and I play a lot of American Blue-ball handball ... a sport where you're constantly cutting corners and ankles - running to one side stopping quick and running again...

Anyway, my last 2 leg workouts I had to stop squatting about 2 sets into it, once I started going heavy it became more apparent.

2 weeks ago - my knee only bothered me during the squats

last week - i felt my knee throughout the whole workout & even had to quit halfway through heavy leg presses as well

Now, I want to go to the doctor for blood work & a check-up on my knee, but I have to wait for my parents to switch my medical insurance because it's all messed up now in the US...

so any recommendations until then? I'd hate to stop training legs though - the produce the most testosterone and they just started to thicken up after being chicken legs...

Back off the heavy weights do squats that weight pain is ok. Might want to get the Dr to refer you to physical therapy. That's what I'd do.

Firstly I'd advise seeing a doctor but if you want to keep traing work the muscle but with as little weight as possible whist still keeping the workout intense. You could try, knee wraps. If you don't already do them try doing full squats (ass to heels) you'll use a lot less weight and get a better range of motion.

Also try doing 21's on squat, anything that will make the set more intense without increasing the weight. Or try doing lungs instead of squats. .
