    SSRI's and Steroids?

Ssri -Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor also known as an anti depressant. I have have been on Fluoxetine for about 8 months for my anxiety that I had and I have been looking around on the net to see if taking this with AAS will cause any problems and I have not found anything stating anything wrong. Any knowledge on this would be much appreciated.

First off this is something you should ask your doctor as you have an underlying condition and you would be amazed how interlinked all our hormonal pathways and such are

From what i'm reading on the pharmacology of fluoxetine, it's not contraindicated with anything related to steroids, but with the brain it's hard to tell because so many neural pathways cross

    best to check it out

I wouldn't bother asking the doc. He's obviously going to tell you not to use AAS without considering the question.

I'm also on Prozac for anxiety and have done several cycles without issue. Hell, I even ran 700mg of EQ without getting any anxiety, and that stuff gives lots of people crippling anxiety. However, I only take 10-20mg a day. The only interaction you need to worry about (that I know of) is with Nolva, as Prozac reduces its effectiveness by competing with it for metabolic enzymes if I recall. This is why I always use Nolva and Clomid, since I don't know how much of the Nolva is actually being metabolized into something useful.
I actually find that Prozac helps tremendously to balance my mood when on cycle, and it is pretty much invaluable in PCT (so that I just feel lethargic at worst, instead of depressed).

Thanks for the replies guys! I also saw that about nolva, so I would change up my pct and just run something excluding it to make sure i get a legit pct.
