HCG: subcutaneous or intramuscular

hey guys,
a buddy of mine is running hcg.... and he said it is taken subcutaneously. is this true? if so where? (im guessing abdominal area). hes running 5000iu/week of 2 weeks

i've come across instructions on web sites that say subcutaneously (in the abdomen). but both lots of hcg i've had in my hand have clearly stated intructions to inject intramuscularly.

I would prefer sub-q to avoid scar tissue in the muscles.
