In any case I'll chat with you a bit on here.
Since your thyroid is UNDERactive the meds you are taking (synthroid?) are causing your body to stay skinny. One thing you might ask your doc about is maybe lowering your dosage a little so you dont have to eat as much. See what he says. I'm in no way saying that you should do that without a doctors advice tho.
As far as your diet is concerned, well, I told you I ate 5500 a day to gain weight. You're a little smaller than I was so you probably wont need to eat more than 4500 but we shall see. You have to be able to eat 6 to 8 times a day. Here's a sample meal plan to accomplish that (this is a sample of a high calorie meal day for me)
6am - 5 eggs cooked in olive oil, 1cup oats, 2 cups 1% milk, 2 cups fat free yogurt w walnuts and blueberries - aprox. 1400 calories with a 3/4/2 protein/carb/fat ratio
8:30am - One Serving Up Your Mass shake, handfull of almonds - approx 690 calories
11:00am - 8 oz steak, 2 cups of cooked brown rice, broccoli - approx. 900 calories
1:30pm - One Serving Up Your Mass shake, banana - approx 620 calories
4:00pm - Preworkout 1 scoop Casein and 3/4 cup Oats - aprox 350 calories
4:30pm - Interworkout BCAAs and sugar (sipped throughout workout) - 220 calories
6:00pm - 2 scoups whey protein, two chicken breast (8oz), 2 cups cooked white rice, veggie, 2 cups 1% milk- aprox 1300 calories
9:00pm - Before Bed 1.5 scoups Casein Protein - 180 calories
Theres about 5600 calories in that and you probably wont need that many calories so you can modify each meal to reduce the calories over the day by say removing an egg from bfast, reducing the weight gainer shakes from 4 scoups to 3, cutting the caesin before bed down to just 1 scoup, get the picture?
When I started I was not very good about cooking every night so you can make big batches of lean ground beef or turkey mixed with brown rice and spices, that way you can dig into it when you need your meals. Some people might say you are getting too much of your protein from the shakes so you could eat the brown rice and beef combo instead of the weight gainers but I find that eating that much is very time consuming and at first your jaw might even get sore lol.
Hope that helps and let me know if you have other questions..
