Half life vs active life

Can someone explain the corolation between the half life and active life.
I.E: Does Half life reduce to the number wich is called active life. Also Does active life start as soon as the oil is administerd in to the body. e.g if for example a substance has an active life of 10 days and a half life of 24 hours, does this mean that after 10 days from administration the substance is at full strength and then at the 11th day(24hours later) the substance will be at half strength. Or does this mean that at administration the substance is at full strength and at day 2 (24hours later) is at half strength?

That old link above is outdated and inaccurate.
When dealing with AAS, the active life is roughly twice the half-life.
These aren't radioactive isotopes that keep decaying at a set rate due to limited surface area.
Test C's active life is about 14 days, but its half life is around 7 days.
Also, there are two types of half-life, plasma half-life and elimination half-life. A lot of people go by the elimination half-life, which is really the same as the active life (14 days for test C).
And when I say "active life", I mean once levels of a drug reach a low enough point that they are no longer having a measurable effect. Sure, the ester may linger around for an extra week or two, but it isn't doing anything useful. You'd need to wait 4-5 half-lives for the compound to truly be eliminated.

half-life is the time it takes for half of whatever you are taking to exit that body. Active life is how long it takes for all of it to exit.

but say with deca the general thought is inject today but it won't kick in for aound 3 weeks..... this doesnt seem right it would appear it is at full strenghth somwhere around 6 days and then halfs at day 11 ?????????????

I understand. The thing is, you don't reap the benefits of AAS from a single injection. Yeah, that first injection will peak in your system within a few hours and act for the next 21 or so days, but it is the accumulation of the injections that gives results. By the time it "kicks in" after about 5 weeks, your blood levels will have built up much higher than they could from a single dose.

Half life= the time period that it takes for only half of the substance to be active.
Active life= the time period that it take for the substance to no longer be active at all.
