Yes! The only useful part of the bird for our purposes is the breast - but that's ALOT of meat. Not a bad idea if you think you can stomach that much turkey - I would imagine 2 birds would be plenty for a while.
sweeeet! haha i have a deep freezer and a vaccum sealer so i think i'll stock it to the max. i got super sick of chicken after 6 months but eventualy i didnt mind it anymore.
its gonna be realy nice to stock up on cheap protein cuz im kinda on a budget.haha
Think about it.
The prices seem cheap now, but they're only semi-cheap because stores know everyone and their brother is buy turkey now.
After T-day they'll have a ton left over they don't want hanging around.
Hell, a car dealership by me has a sign out "Free turkey with test drive".
You bet your ass I'm going down to drive some car I won't buy so I can get some free protein![]()
Definitely cheaper after Thxgiving, no doubt.
yup im definatley gonna buy em up. the fam would love to throw turkey legs in the rotissery.
im totaly popping all the oysters out of the turkey backs and setting em aside so when i drop my 1st 20lbs i can treat myself to a bomb ass meal of turkey oyster meat! mmmmm!!!!
I'm paying $0.38/lb at food for less
already have 4 ten "ish" pounders
and one 20 ish pounder.
Plan to get more. Turkey is a fantastic lean meat!
I usually eat it all year long.
