should i stock up on turkey?

well guys its that time of year. the supermarkets are practically giving away turkey's @ 58 cents a pound

what i wanna know is.... do u think it's worth it to buy a whole crazy sh*t ton of turkeys, defrost em, seperate the meat and freeze em?

Yes! The only useful part of the bird for our purposes is the breast - but that's ALOT of meat. Not a bad idea if you think you can stomach that much turkey - I would imagine 2 birds would be plenty for a while.

    Hells yes.

Actually, I've found that stores usually have them cheaper AFTER Thanksgiving,

because they have extra stock to get rid of.

    Think about it.

The prices seem cheap now, but they're only semi-cheap because stores know everyone and their brother is buy turkey now.

After T-day they'll have a ton left over they don't want hanging around.

Hell, a car dealership by me has a sign out "Free turkey with test drive".

You bet your ass I'm going down to drive some car I won't buy so I can get some free protein

I'm paying $0.38/lb at food for less
already have 4 ten "ish" pounders
    and one 20 ish pounder.

Plan to get more. Turkey is a fantastic lean meat!
I usually eat it all year long.
