    Change it up.

Oats, potato, quinoa, pearly barley, rice.

Agreed! BUT quinoa the only grain that's a complete protein, lower on the GI, and very good for digestion. I personally don't like the stuff as compared to my sweetened oats, some nice coconut brown basmati, lentil soup, roasted sweet potatoes, etc. however, it is a better overall product if you're not eating for taste IMO.

Quinoa seems to be very inflammatory. Is the cooked version better?

Its glycemic load also seems to be higher than oats?

Quinoa is quality stuff, but i'd change it up simply for sanity's sake.

In looking at a couple of other links, it's slightly better when cooked but yeah, not quite as good as I thought. Basically, just like Barley. Regardless, it's fairly low and a complete protein.
