    The Fukushima 50

Japan hails the heroic "Fukushima 50"

They're being dubbed as the "modern day samurai". This is what I idealized as a modern day hero. I believe all cultures have this level of altruism within select individuals.

At Tjernobyl workers where sent with shovels and buckets to clean up,after the reactor meltdown.
They had little to no protection against the radiation, they all died .They where never hailed as martyres!
-Hey you ,go clean up that little bit of radioactive rubble! Njet!, Faugh That!
