    Weight Gainer Powder

    Hey all,
I was wondering what everyone thought about the weight gaining powders you can buy that include all the macro nutrients, namely Optimum Pro Complex Gainer. One scoop is 650 calories, 60g protein, 85g carbs (5g sugar, 4g fiber) , 8g fat (3 g saturated). Is using something like this as a meal replacement acceptable? I usually have a scoop if this with 12 oz skim milk and sometimes some chocolate syrup as well. I'm currently bulking, 6' 210 lbs,12%bf been eating around 3500-3700 calories on workout days in order to gain weight.

It's not meant as a meal replacement, but to ADD extra calories to an existing healthy bulking diet.

    ^ ^ THIS.

And with that said, I would still suggest real food as much as possible.

That being said, that sure sounds like a good protein powder. I'd try it with half a dose post workout, but you are consuming twice as many cals as I am.

I use Muscle Juice 2544 as a PWO shake. 3 scoops is ~700 calories. I have a buddy that uses Russian Bear and is really liking it so far.

Thanks for the tips, it's a lot of calories but that's what I've found it takes, I started around 2500 and worked my way up from there and found my happy medium that I gain weight consistently but don't put on the fat either.

The guy is a spammer, the links have nothing to do with what he's talking about. He's already been reported, they'll be removed shortly.
