BCAA's - When and How Much

Just wondering what the optimal amount of BCAA's are (powdered form) and when would be best to take them ? I workout in the evening and do cardio immediately after lifting. My Whey protein already has 5.5g of BCAA's in it too, though it's mostly glutamine (3g). Finally, what are the supposed "benefits" of BCAA's ?

    then 5g B4 your cardio

glutamie isnt a BCAA man, BCAA's are leucine, isoleucine and valine. hoestly theres not real solid evidence that they actually make a big dif. i only take 5g pre-workout, never tried any higher dose so i cant give u proper answer.

I do 10g upon waking and 15g at the end of my workout right before cardio.

BCAA's can also be supplemented in between meals at 5-10g on an empty stomach, taken intra-workout too.

Perfect thank you everyone for the advice, I really appreciate it. So optimal times are:

    - In between workouts
    - Empty stomach / fasted
    - Pre - Cardio
    - Post Workout.

Is there an excessive amount of BCAA's to take in 1 day ? For example if I did:

10g in the Morning on an empty stomach
    10g Before my workout
10g After lifting but before cardio.

Or is that way too much ?

Dosing of BCCA, like any other supplement, depends on your bodyweight and training regimen before anything else. Total intake of 30gr BCAA on training days cannot possibly be too much for anyone who trains hard 4-6 days a week.
