I thought that I would share this trick for those of you who dont know it, I had to use it tonight. What happened is I was doing my shot and wanted to shoot my shoulder but opend my box of needles and realized I was all out of 1" needles. So what I did was I took an 1.5" needle and took the cap off. Then i measured down one inch from the end of the cap and cut the end off. Then I put the back on. Now I have a 1" needle I can use to do my delt.

really and how is that? nothing has been done to the needle and im not inserting a plastic cap into my skin. Dont like it dont use it.

just dont touch the sides of the needle and you should be fine. alil dangerous IMO, i would have just used the 1.5 inch and held out the 1/2 inch out. but i self inject and have a steady hand...

Do you know what that needle looks like under a microscope after you did that.
Good way to get microscopic metal shards left in your delt.
I don't reccomend any one to do this

I don't have a problem sticking 1.5" in anywhere and why not just go in 1". There's no way i would mess with a needle like that.

He's not doing anything to the needle at all,he's modifing the plastic protector and then putting it over the needle.

Thank you....its just using the plastic as a reference to about where 1in is. Now if only at 310lbs I had the thickness to shoot 1.5in everywhere.....oh I probably do.

ooohhhh...now i get what you did. That's not a bad idea but I guarantee you that 1.5" needle would work just fine. Your muscle is deeper than you think.

he didn't cut the needle. look at the pic he attached, he added a plastic buffer to keep you from scraping your bone with a 1.5 needle

i did this the other day b'c i had a ton of glute pins left, no 1 inchers left, and only a few days left on cycle... so i didn't wnt to re-order anything.
works like a charm. i actually prefer it because i can rest that cap/bumper against my skin while i aspirate, makes the whole aspirating with a thick oil process a lot easier

Thanks for the idea, as far as why not use a 1.5 and only insert 1 inch? I only use 3/4 of an inch but often when injecting accidently bottom out the needle in my delt no big deal with a 1" with a 1.5" it might hurt LOL
As far as the sterility, just use clean tools (not the scizzors you use to groom your nose hair) to clip the cap and you will be fine ;-)
