What's the cheapest $ you get tuna/ chicken?

I just bought 14lbs of chicken for 25$. That was 1.79 per lbs. I also bought like 30 cans of tuna for $.50 each. What's the best or average price you guys pay for that stuff?

Not a bad deal huh? I just realised what a dumbass I am though. I went to have a can of the tuna and realised that half of the tuna I bought was mixed in oil instead of water. I was pissed, so I brought it back and exchanged them. Have you guys ever done that? I hate that!

Do any of you guys rinse your water packed tuna off. I read somewhere once this helps lower the sodium content of the tuna. I eat tuna everyday pretty much. I have never rinsed it. Just curious.
