    Body types and calories ?

So there are all these calculators or formulas that tell you how many calories to eat but my question is how do they apply to three different types of bodies such as the mesomorph, endomorph and the actomorph ...... they cant all need the same calories

I am an ectomorph and these calculators tell me to eat 3000 to 3500 calories but that doesnt work for me i find i have to eat at least 5000 or more calories

Does any body have any info on the macros and calories for the different body types because i dont think the 1 size fits all is correct for everybody

I read somewhere on the net that a true ectomorph must eat an extra 2500 calories then a normal person (Not sure how true that is if anyone wants to shed some light on that)

This is why those calorie estimators are bogus. What you need to do is this:
    1. clean up your current diet using good food choices
    2. add or subtract protein/fat/carbs to see how your body handles each
    3. add or subtract overall calories to achieve a certain goal
    4. repeat step 2 and add in different food choices
    5. repeat step 2/3 until you meet your goal

^ ^ this, plain and simple.

People are WAY too into these calculators and formulas. They are meant to give a (VERY) general idea. IMO the variables are WAY too many, rendering them pretty useless.

I always find 2000 calories a good starting point for men who have NO idea how much they currently eat and/or should be eating to achieve whatever their goal is. Few men will require less than 2000 calories, and even if they do require lower to cut (I'm one of those people), they will know it in a matter of 2 weeks and can adjust, as Twist said above.
