Just watched a documentary online called "Knuckle", check it out for Irish sub-culture, bare knuckle fights and a wasted energy.

What Dec said these boys aren't to be messed with. They will batter you from high heaven and come back for more. They have no problem beating the head off people and leaving them there to die. They cover these illegal fights as to say they are part of their culture but it's more of I'm better than you imo.

strangely they claim 'honour' in fighting but if you do get the better of one you can be sure he'll be back with 10 of his inbred family. they are hated in dublin and do not get allowed into any bars or clubs in town, known for kicking crap out of each other in a premises and then suing the club security for not preventing injury.

I just downloaded and watched this. I don't see alot of body shots in any of the fights, it's all head shots. I also see one guy marry his cousin, didn't know if this is customary there. All that fighting is among blood relatives, pride, anger and hate. I never heard or saw one apology. This will go on forever. It was a good watch thx. for sharing. I was rooting for teh Quinns all the way. Old man Joyce who's 50 years plus just keeps on trying to antagonize and he is what he is considered by him and his clan"king of the travellers" Maybe in his day. He's their role model and they will feed off his persistence.

All true man. They ended up in a late bar before in the sticks in Cork and basically made shit of the place before the locals made sure they fooked off for good. They are dirty bastards that into everything that can be illegal and dodgey. Horrible bastards.

This is really badass and I love stuff like this but anytime I hear stories of lethal traveling irish men, or backyard youtube ghetto brawlers lol, I have to think of whats his face? ... oh yeh Kimbo. I mean we hype people like this up, and yeh I sure as hell wouldn't wanna mess with most of these guys... but how badass are they really? How long would one of these overaged, overweight, alcohol drinking irish "badasses" last in something like the octagon?
So its cool to watch and pretend like these guys belong to some elite group of epic world fighters... but compared to some of the true elites in the world I just couldn't assume there was any legit comparison. Just saying.

watch the documenatary....or u just making assumptions...these guys train for months and have fights scheduled. It's not just a random friday night bar fight...though that may also happen. Thats not what the original op was about.

Lenny wasnt a gypsy fighter, was an unlicenced underground prize fighter, also google roy' pretty boy'shaw, of the same era and prob the hardess around then
