Checking a Source?

(Dont worry wont mention names) Recently purchased from a website i was certain was legit (rookie mistake i know) but now after digging deeper im getting some mixed reviews and now basically dont know what to believe. Anyone one here a pro when it comes to online sources or can point me in the right direction to find some good info. The gear has arrived and im a little hesitant to shoot something up that could be bunk.
