DHT Testing Question

Good afternoon all, hope everyone is well. I have never had my DHT level tested. Is this something that I should consider or no? If it is, then when is the optimal time to have the test performed?

Hey bass, thanks for the advice bro. I'm kind of in between Drs. right now seeing as how my last one was pretty clueless. Appointment with a new Endo on 10/11.

Why do want DHT tested...any specific reason?

^^^^Hey G, DHT is about the only hormone related test that I have not had yet, and my drive is not nearly where I want it after being on Test for almost 3 months (but hopefully the Dep Pro will fix that), and I read that DHT has a strong effect on libido, so I'm thinking maybe mine is a tad low......What are your thoughts (if any)?

I am right with you man. I hadn't had my DHT tested either and we need it for libido. Your thinking is right on.

Generally, with good Test and E2 panels DHT falls in-line BUT there are some men who don't convert well.

I am getting this tested next round of BW as well.

If your having issues with your hormones then you should get a FULL blood panel screening done, you never know what is casuing the problems until you have all the levels to hand.

Probably when your test is at the lowest point seems reasonable to me.

Remember, DHT is just one part of the libido equation. It's the one that fuels sexual aggression and the energy for sex. Estrogen is the hormone that gives you that real good feeling with strong sensations, pleasures and a good erection. You need both in harmony my friend it's what drives your dopamine levels in your noggin to make it all happen.

Libido = Complex Processes (not discounting the psychological side of it all...)

For got to ask Titleesq; are you injecting or using a cream?

If cream, has a very positive effect on high DHT (especially if applied to the sack!).

T injections much less influence on higher DHT levels.

One benefit to creams and gels eh
