Expired Gear, still good/worth the risk?

I have some gear that I've had for a little while now, that I'm curious if it's ok to use. The exp was 6/08, but those labels I think were applied by my friend that I got it from. I hate that I never got a chance to use it before (long story, but it's some really good stuff).

I briefly asked him, and he said as long as it looked visibly ok, I should be good to go.

So, am I ok to use it? Is it worth the risk?

I will say this much. A few years back I had some AAS tested that was 5 years past expire. It still
tested 100% label claims. Storing it properly means everything.

It's probably fine so long as it wasn't stored somewhere very warm for a long time.

thanks for the input. I've kept it in my closet, so dry, rather cool, out of light, etc.

    for what it's worth, its:

    (2) sustanon 250
    Tren Acetate
    and some D-bol

The reason why most medical companies issue an expiration date is because after a certain amount of time the active ingridients in the drug begin to degrade and the drug loses its potency. Lets say it was originally 100mg, 1-2 years after exp its probably 80mg. Most food and drug admins require this labeling. As for the it going bad, I highly doubt it. Maybe if it was an antibotic or something that was organism based it could.

AAS don't degrade nearly that fast.
And yeah, expiration dates mainly only apply to perishable foods and antibiotics (the latter can degrade into something toxic).

Not a chemist, just gave an example.

Regardless, the main reason behind the exp date is to ensure the integrity of the dosing.

Ok, I think I'm gonna go for it, and at least give it a test run.

How should I run it together, thoughts?

Man this great.... I had some old Tren lying around somewhere - was really pissed that I never had the chance to use it... Its UG made, but the label had 2 yr expiry date from the Manf date... Been 4 yrs since it expired - hoping everything will be ok....

You said you friend put the labels on it. The fact that its UGL gear brings a bunch of variables into the equation. Ask him what kind of oil its made with if its Grape Seed Oil, particularly if it was the shopping center variety and may have been on a store shelf for a long time before you bought it or stored with the cap off for a couple of weeks ( I don't know your friend) it may well be rancid by now. Conversly if it was handled properly and it its something like cottonseed, particularly if its a USP grade product then its fine for years to come.
