    Cheat days - Extra Cardio

So I've been dieting for quite some time and with the exception of Thanksgiving I've have had no cheat meals. Here lately I've been getting the urge to go out and down 6 sushi rolls or have a beer or whatever. I know if I did this that I would feel very guilty afterwards. I know many of you dislike cardio; however, I have no issues with it.

So my question is....Let's say I were to have a cheat meal and went overboard by say 1k calories. Would it be possible to hit the gym a couple of hours later and just burn them off?

It would make sense this could be the case. It's just that I've been so disciplined over the past 8 months and the last thing I want to do is go backwards even if it's a little bit. But I've really been wanted to go crazy on some sushi and sake bombs lately.

    What do you guys think?

I have one cheat meal a week where I don't really worry about the calories. I don't go overboard, but I just don't track it.

You could do extra cardio, but that would make it a "punishment" meal rather than a cheat meal. The point of a cheat meal is to have a bump in calories every once in a while to keep your body from thinking it is going to forever be in deficit mode.

I personally have thought that sushi would be a bodybuilders dream meal. I think I could have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner and doesn't it incorporate everything we want in every meal? (the alcohol is always a poor choice for multiple reasons, IMO)

Seems this is the time of year for urges and cardio will balance....my theory anyway.....

Planned cheating is always less damaging than un-planned cheating!
