No, it can actually be injected Sub Q as well, but it's a time consuming affair. It's a great method, say if a guy was doing 100mg/wk and breaking it up 2x/wk. I actually did 60mg (.30cc) tonight, and it took about 3 minutes or so to load. Add another .20cc of B12 Methyl and it's good to go!
