    Question for BBrian

    BBrian,

If you don't mind I'd like to ask a question regarding a post you made in a previous thread. You mentioned your first cycle was sus250 and youd put on 25lbs and managed to keep most of it.

Can you give me a rundown of what the cycle involved? Doses, any AI's or HCG during, and most importantly what was your PCT that enabled you to keep those gains?

I too, as you may have read in other posts, am currently doing sus250 and am interested to know. Always hungry for more info

    Cheers

Actually it would be a decent educational thread if I had possessed any knowledge about any of those things back then. But I was 23, in the Marine Corps, and ate a whole lot of healthy whole foods. My diet along with the strong gonads of a 23 year old male and the fact that the first line of prohormones were sold on base at the time (which I took haphazardly afterwards) only proved to make me extremely lucky. So in truth this is a horrible example of a cycle

But whether you're taking sustanon or any other testosterone, the key to maintaining gains lie in proper exercise, diet, and making sure that you get your gonads back to full production as soon as possible. As I recall, I actually experienced no loss of libido after my cycle was finished. Again, I chalk this up to luck and the strong gonads of a 23 year old, luck probably playing the biggest role and I don't condone 23 year olds taking anabolics. I also remember supplementing a lot of tribulus terrestris back then, which is a natural testosterone booster. Also in the Marines we did a LOT of running, typically ranging anywhere from 3 to 8 miles at a time. I always felt that long-distance running did a lot for my libido.

Lately I've been researching Ronnie Rowland's Slingshot Training System quite a bit. It's of particular interest because it outlines how to change ones diet and workout regimen during and post cycle for the purpose of maximizing gains and keeping them, and I highly recommend it to you as well. There is a summarized version in the stickies on this forum, but you can find it in full detail here...

All the best to you and while I'm certainly not the most knowledgeable member here, please feel free to ask me any questions at any time

Edit: I injected one 250mg shot once per week for ten weeks. I believe that this being my first cycle merely proved to catapult me closer to my genetic potential at 5'10".

Although Ronnie is very experienced and knowledgable i wouldnt recommend the slingshot cycling to anyone unless they want to be on trt. I tried it last year after getting a big head from recovering well from my previous cycle. I stayed on for just over 20 weeks and when i finally came off i crashed. During pct lost libido, hard ons, lots of strength, size and just had no motorvation to be at the gym but i still went and trained as hard as i could. I ran a pretty decend pct with HCG just before. I really think it would have helped if i ran HCG throughout but im not going to risk finding out again. It took months to get my libido back and strength came back very slowly.
From now on only 12 weeks cycles for me max.

Try it if you want but im just warning you about my experience.

On the contrary, any advice of relevance is very welcomed. I had in mind to modify the AAS specifics to a degree which dictated a 8-10 week cycle, 4 week PCT, four weeks off, then repeat the process once. But the main thing I'm getting out of it are effective ways to change my workout and diet in order to overcome plateaus from the "8 week halt" of cycling and reduce post-cycle as much as possible. I'm particularly fascinated with the concept of manipulating certain receptors and maintaining a healthy CNS in order to use anabolics in the most efficient method possible without damaging my HPTA. I've typically run two cycles per year, and I'm interested in taking it all a step further without, again, over-suppressing the nads. But what do you think of even doing that much?

Primarily because after 8 weeks on cycle, most people notice their gains halting, and state that any time after that simply proves to maintain what they've gained unless they dramatically increase their test injections, proving to increase side effects as well. For this reason, the 12 week standard shows a need to rethink this standard.

NotConvinced - Thanks for the kudos. I enjoy helping people when I'm able.
