Low E2

Just had some blood work done and my Total Testosterone was a bit high but nothing unexpected. However my E2 was 15.3 which is way low for me. I'm taking .5mg of Arimidex EOD and have been doing this for almost 2 years. Before when tested my E2 was always around 30 which is my sweet spot. Recently I couldn't get my normal generic Arimidex so was forced to buy I can't remember the name and I'm traveling so I can't look at the bottle, but think it's something like Global or World something. Anyway could this Arimidex be so much stronger? Also another thing has happened and that is my acne has gotten out of control. I always used to have it, but always on my back. Now almost overnight I have these sudden patches of acne on my upper stomach and chest. Could the low E2 be the cause?

Two things - I think that is a way high dose of adex.

And - interesting about your acne as several guys here have blamed acne on high E2 but never said anything about low E2 causing it. I have never heard of it being a symptom of low.

My E2 is in the pooper right now and I have acne all over my back, so yeah I think that could be the issue. And yes, non-pharm grade AI's are often under or over dosed. This was how I crashed my E2. I used a under dosed or possibly, bunk Aromasin, found out E2 was 85 on only 140mg Cyp. So switched to a different Aromasin, ran it at 25mg ed just for a few days to get E2 down, then switched to 12.5 eod and after a week I was crashed. I agree with flatscat tho, this seems like a really high dose anyway. How recent was your blood work? If were talking like last week, you may want to stop the AI altogether for a week just to let your E2 recover some and then start back up at a lower dose. Maybe .5mg twice a week. Splitting your Test E up, could help as well.

Blood given 4 days ago. Got the result for E2 yesterday. Unfortunately the only choice I have at this point is the Arimidex I have. Will take your advice and stay off it for a week and twice a week thereafter sounds right. This acne thing is crazy. In all my life I have never had it on my stomach or chest. When it comes it comes in a tight grouping of 4 or so. The only thing I have changed in my regime is the Arimidex. When I get home I will check my E2 history, but I'm pretty sure it's always been in the high 20;s low 30's or above. No science here, but it looks like either the Arimidex itself or the low E2 is causing the acne.
